Q: How many times do you expect to visit the Gaviota Coast this year?
A: We travel through the area at least twice a year. I also lived in Isla Vista for many years and have great memories of riding my bike, going to the beach and visiting the inland areas on the coast. Currently I live in Ojai and very much appreciate open space and its value for all species.

Q: What do you love about the Gaviota Coast?
A: As soon as I pass the Bacara Resort heading West, I can’t help but breath a sigh of contentment. Seeing the ocean to my left, all the beautiful, undeveloped open space stretching for miles, and the rising mountain peaks to my left has the effect of instant relaxation. It is easy to marvel at the Gaviota Coast’s beauty and wonder at all the birds soaring overhead. I enjoy visiting all of the state parks, hiking on trails, surfing up and down the coast, respectfully observing the tide pools and seals near the Naples Reef and spotting White-tailed Kites and other soaring birds overhead.
