You are invited to participate in California Coastal Cleanup Day with Gaviota Coast Conservancy hosting at Refugio State Beach. Parking is free during these hours if you mention you are a volunteer for Coastal Cleanup. Richard Hunt will be at a table in the Day Use parking area with bags and clipboards. If you are adventurous enough to go up the bike path, there is often trash up there which can eventually end up in the ocean. Thank you for coming out to enjoy and clean our beautiful Refugio Beach!

A no-host potluck BBQ will be held afterwards. Check here to find out more and rsvp.

Refugio State Beach is a great place for a Bar B Q, but probably already the cleanest beach on the Gaviota Coast. I could point to many other beaches in serious need of clean up. Last GCC clean up was the very, very up scale beach fronting the Bacara Resort. Maybe next year someone could check to see which beach really needs cleaning. Bob Hazard
